They are also considered as the most deadliest and infamous group of assassins in the world by far. In this post, we’re going to get to know all about the Zoldyck family, in depth details about their background, work line and also each member and notable servants.
Do note that we’re going to venture in the Zoldyck Family in the anime only, so there will be no spoilers about the manga.
Now, what makes the Zoldyck family the most successful and feared family of assassins in the series? For generations, the Zoldyck family has been doing assassinations for a few generations now which is where their reputation and fame comes from. As everyone are now professional assassins for hire as they have been trained since they were little how to kill someone and the art of assassination.
There hasn’t been a specific amount of money written in both manga and anime how much people are willing to pay for Zoldyck’s assassination business but, it seemed to be extremely high. Someone with enough wealth like Isaac Netero that once hired Zeno for help and the Ten Dons hiring Zeno and Silva as a last resort or attempt against the Phantom Trope.
For a family that manages to own and lives at a dormant volcano called Kukuroo Mountain and hire several equally skilled attendants, surely, people would pay billions for their services.

He is the head of the Zoldyck family, a calculated man that will only act if victory is guaranteed. Just like his grandfather, he seemed to hold a high regard for Killua and has appointed him as the next heir. Though it is unknown how he met Kikyo Zoldyck and established the Zoldyck family that we know today.
Silva’s power is demonstrated during the Yorknew City arc where he takes on Chrollo Lucifer with his father, Zeno. His immunity to poison when Chrollo slices him with Ben’s knives with a poison that could paralyze a whale even if 0.1 milligrams is injected. The fight continued on and Silva was about to kill Chrollo when he misfire due to Illumi calling him in the middle of it. The least to say, Chrollo’s life was spared due to the fact he has to pay Illumi for his assassination work.
There is not much known about the mother of the Zoldycks children just yet. But seeing that she herself is a member of the Zoldyck family, there is a chance that she is also a deadly assassin too. She seemed to show favoritism towards Killua, wanting him to excel in assassination and feeling delighted when Killua becoming cruel and cold, despite it’s mostly towards her.
Kikyo shows signs of her being an overbearing, protective mother. Seeing how she is very suspicious of strangers that get close to her son. Just like the rest of the Zoldycks, she seemed to hold no regards to people outside her family as she is willing to use innocent people to let Alluka test his powers.
Alluka Zoldyck is the youngest of the siblings so far in the manga. Due to unknown circumstances, a mysterious Dark Continent entity dubbed as Nanika comes to possess her and now they both live together in one body. Alluka is the closest to Killua, who treats her like a younger sibling unlike the rest of the family. Silva kept her in a room beneath five humongous safety faults, as he refused to refer to her as his own child.
What makes her terrifying is her wish granting ability. First, she’ll ask something from the other and refusing her request may lead them to their deaths. Once she’s in her ‘wish granting’ mode, she’ll be able to give anyone anything they wished for. Like once Killua asked Nanika to heal Gon, which is something impossible before she stepped in.
\The heir of the Zoldyck family but despite that, he has no interest in it. He met Gon in the Hunter Examination. By default, Killua is a cheeky and mischievous person, he has an obsession with sweets. Despite his personality, Killua is still a member of the Zoldyck family. He’s able to pierce through someone’s chest with ease just by using his hand and before he discovers his Nen abilities, Killua is already an adversary of his own.
Milluki is the second eldest son, unlike the rest of his brothers, he is a shut-in who never once stepped outside of the family’s mansion. While he doesn’t have the physical prowess and ability like his brothers, he’s a skilled hacker and programmer. He might be considered the most tech savvy and intelligent Zoldycks, as it might be the reason why the rest of the family tolerates him.
He is an otaku and promptly a coward, having to back away when Killua threatens to kill him. Milluki spends most of his time in his bedroom, where his manga, anime and figurines are. His figurine seems to be the most important thing as Milluki threatens to kill Killua if he dares to break his figurines.
The eldest child of Silva and Kikyo Zoldyck, he is first introduced in a disguise as Gittarackur and reveals himself to Killua, asking him to come home. While he has mostly an expressionless face, he seemed to have an overprotective love towards Killua. To some point he implanted a needle in Killua’s brain.
His Nen type is manipulator, as such, he is mostly using his needles to either alternate his own body like in the Hunter Examination arc or use it to kill people. He can also use his needles to control people to do what he wants to do, up to the point they will overwork themselves and die.
The father of Silva Zoldyck and also the grandfather of Killua. His name alone is said to be able to induce fear to the people of the underworld. A professional assassin who has grown through years of being in the assassination business. It’s unsure how great his power is but he once stated that it’ll take him less than seven seconds to kill a group of armed Mafia members and that Chrollo Lucifer wouldn’t be able to beat Zeno even if he’s at full strength.
Zeno is an extremely skilled Nen user, able to blast an aura that disintegrates his surroundings and also transmute a dragon to be used as a transportation or an attack. He can also turn the said dragon into such a meteor storm that destroys anything right below it. Despite this tremendous power, it seems that he still has a moral compass too which is, not injuring any innocence at all costs. Also, he seemed to have a high hope for Killua and favored him more than the rest of his brothers.
The oldest member of the Zoldyck family, he is Zeno’s grandfather. Although there is not much information given, he was said to have fought Isaac Netero. Isaac himself is the only person who survived a fight with him and lived to tell the tale. His appearance in the anime isn’t much rather, it was really brief so it’s unknown what his relationship with the rest of the family is like. It’s unknown what type of nen user he is but this Zoldyck great grandfather isn’t one to be underestimated.
Despite not much information shown about the eldest of the Zoldyck Family, it is revealed that his wife is also still alive. But unfortunately, there isn’t much information of him and his wife shown in the anime.
